1. Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to establish rules governing the safe, fair, and responsible use of the Association’s community swimming pool. This policy is intended to minimize risk, promote safety, and protect Association property while allowing residents to enjoy the pool facility.
2. Authority
This policy is adopted pursuant to the Association’s Declaration, Bylaws, and Rules & Regulations and may be amended by the Board of Directors as permitted under the governing documents
3. No Lifeguard / Assumption of Risk

There is no lifeguard on duty at any time.

All persons using the pool do so at their own risk.

The Association does not provide supervision, instruction, or rescue services.

By entering the pool area, users acknowledge and accept full responsibility for their own safety and the safety of those in their care.
4. Eligibility for Use

Pool use is limited to:

Homeowners in good standing with the Association
-
Authorized residents and their accompanied guests
-

Guests must be accompanied by a resident at all times.
-
Non‑residents or organized group use is prohibited
-
Guests are limited to 6 per Household
5. Hours of Operation
-
The pool is open 9am – 9pm, unless otherwise posted.

Gate and Bathrooms are locked each night from 9pm - 9am
-
Swimming outside posted hours is prohibited.
-
The Association reserves the right to close the pool for maintenance, weather, safety, or compliance reasons.

6. Supervision and Safety Responsibilities
-
All users must be capable swimmers, or must be actively and continuously supervised by a responsible adult.

Each adult is responsible for monitoring those in their care at all times.

The Association strongly recommends the designation of a “water watcher” when children are present.

Users must comply with all posted safety signage and depth markings
7. Pool Rules
The following rules apply to all pool users:

No running, diving, or jumping into the pool.
-
No horseplay, roughhousing, pushing, or dunking.
-
No swimming while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
-
Obey all posted capacity limits.
-
Appropriate swim attire must be worn at all times
8. Children and Minors

Children who are not competent swimmers must remain within arm’s reach of a supervising adult.
-
Guardians are solely responsible for determining whether a child is capable of safely using the pool.
-
Behavior that creates a safety risk or disrupts others is prohibited.
9. Prohibited Items and Activities
The following are prohibited in the pool and pool deck area:

Glass containers
-
Smoking or vaping
-
Pets (except service animals as required by law)
-
Bicycles, scooters, or skateboards
-
Loud music or amplified sound devices
10. Health and Hygiene
-
Pool users must not enter the pool if experiencing illness or open wounds.
-
Infants and toddlers must wear appropriate swim diapers.
-
Users are encouraged to shower before entering the pool.
-
Any contamination incidents must be reported immediately.
11. Cleanliness and Property Protection

Users must dispose of trash properly and leave the pool area clean.
-
Furniture, gates, fencing, and safety equipment may not be moved, modified, or damaged.
-
Damage caused by residents, family members, or guests will be charged to the responsible homeowner.
12. Emergency Equipment
-
Emergency and lifesaving equipment provided must remain accessible at all times.
-
Tampering with emergency equipment is strictly prohibited.
-
In the event of an emergency, users should call 911 immediately.
13. Enforcement and Penalties

Violations of this policy may result in:

Warnings
-
Temporary suspension of pool privileges
-
Fines as authorized by governing documents
-
Revocation of amenity access for repeated or serious violations
-

The Board of Directors or its managing agent has enforcement authority.
14. Amendments
This policy may be amended or repealed by the Board of Directors following proper notice and in accordance with the Association’s governing documents.
